    2. If Priscilla Lambert is the grand daughter of Jeremiah, who is this in the will of John? I think she must be the g-daughter of John, does anyone have more info? She was in Tazewell 1850, 60 and Bland 1870 with husband Hiram Lambert, a cousin, thanks John's 1st wife was Sarah Perceval, children Hugh and Reuben, info from Barbara Sevier in Oklahoma City. An indenture between John Lambert and Priscilla his wife of Wythe Co, state of Virginia, signed on 7 August 1809 purchase for 50 pounds 130 acres of land from John Hearn in Wythe Co on Walker Creek, land also belongs to George Hutsell, court held in Wythe County 9 Aug 1809 From Tazewell Co will book # 9 - John Lambert , probated Aug 1838 , Devises his property as follows : to his wife Peiscilla ; to his daughters Mary , Patsy Paulley ( wife of Jonathan Paulley ) , Joseph , John , and Issac , his sons ; to his grand-daughter Priscilla . John Lambert, Sr.'s will left some items to his granddaughter, Priscilla, on the provision that she stay with her grandmother. >From Ann Moore- Last Will of John Lambert, husband of Priscilla Pauley, dtd Aug. 6, 1838, Tazewell Co. It lists his wife, Priscilla and children: Mary, Joseph, John, Isaac, and Patsy, wife of Jonathan Pauley. There is a codicil to the will which reads I give, devise and bequeath to my granddaughter, Priscilla, d/o Joseph P. Lambert, a horse, woman's saddle and bridle and some furniture provided that she remain with one of the grandmother (I can't read the rest of the will). Date: 12/8/98 From: hawkins10@erols.com (J. Hawkins) Sorry that you could not read the will. I will copy it later (that may be after the first of the year) but will report on the Codicil now. Copied as closely as I could as some words were very hard to read. The handwriting is extremely small. If not every word, it will give you the sense of it. ---------------------- Codicil to the above will made by me John Lambert this 16th day of August 1838 before and at the time of signing and sealing the above. I give devise and bequeath to my granddaughter, Priscilla, daughter of Joseph P. Lambert a horse, woman's saddle and briddle, two cows and dabed (sic) furniture provided in the event that she remains with (?) her grand Mother or someone of us until she attains the age of twenty one years or gets arried. Signed (sic) with my hand and sealed 16 day of August 1838. The above codicil is initiated at the time of witnessing of the above by James E. Davidson Joseph P. Lambert J. Straw ------------------------- Both the will and codicil was dated and witnessed by the same people. The codicil starts on the page with the will and goes to the top of the second page which is an appraisal (or part of appraisal) of his property. Sandy in Florida
