His name....good question! :) He has three marriage records...can't find the first one...but have found the next two. 1. In his first marriage record from Doddridge Co. WV on Sept. 12, 1861 he is listed as David Jones, age 45, widower, of Ohio, son of George and Margaret Jones. married to E.A. Overfield, age 33, single, of Harrison Co. VA, dau. of Martin Overfield. 2. In his second marriage record of Doddridge Co. WV on Sept. 13, 1861 he is listed as William S. Jones, age 45, widower, of ohio, son of George and Margaret Jones. married to E.A. Overfield, age 33, single, of Harrison Co. VA, dau. of Martin Overfield. Obviously one of these marriage records was recorded incorrectly but I do not know which one is which. I do believe the two had children in Doddridge Co. WV.... I found in the Doddridge Co. WV birth records a Mary F. Jones born to a David and E.Jones in 1861....could this be them? another Jones baby also born to this David and E. sometime later. It is then said that he and wife Elizabeth Ann Overfield (Betsey?) went back to OHIO...but where & when I do not know.
