Many of the early families of West Virginia came from the Northern Neck. We believe those families were present in many of the source records beginning in the late 1600-1700's, that we are currently transcribing. Since we post new material to this database frequently, we instituted a very successful Alert System that informs you by e-mail of the appearance of any surnames that are of particular interest in your research. After a thorough and successful six-month test of this system, we now invite you to participate in the TOP10 Alert. To do this go to: http://www.northernneckfmailies.com Then go to the "TOP10 Subscription Form" and follow the instructions. You may then visit our Website and do a free "Surname Search" for your TOP10 names that we alerted you to as well as other surnames in the Northern Neck. We will also advise you where you may view a précis of the pages, how to obtain the transcribed page, how to find out how you may receive a graphic image of the actual court record from which the transcript was made and all of this can be delivered to you by e-mail. Please do not respond to the "List" as it will overburden it, but enter the Surnames that you are researching in the form 'TOP10 Alert Subscription Form" on http://www.northernneckfamilies.com Happy Hunting. ___________________________________ Virginia Hamrick Association of Archival Transcribers mailto:virginiah@reflexnet.net http://www.northernneckfamilies.com
