Henry Hovatter was my gggrandfather. His son Elias was the father of my grandfather, Francis Clyde Hovatter. My father, Clyde Hovatter, is the fourth of twelve children. Elias was married to Alice Bertha Cozad. Henry deserted his family and went to Arkansas, where he took another wife and fathered other children. Elias was taken in by Henry's brother, David.
