I am hoping someone can tell me if I am in the right ballpark. I have an obit for BENJAMIN TAYLOR THRASHER. It says he was born Oct. 25, 1846 to Jacob and Elizabeth Thrasher. Born in CEDAR CREEK, SHANNANDOAH COUNTY, VIRGINIA. Is this area now West Virginia, or is it still in Virginia? He was the brother to my great grandmother Susan Ann Thrasher, she married Lafayette Townsend Friend. Benjamin moved to Deer Park, Garrett County, Maryland in 1868, I do not know if Jacob and Elizabeth came too, as Benjamin was 22 years old and may have moved alone or with siblings. Any tidbits to guide me along in this search will be greatly appreciated. Pat
