Although some believe the two lines are related (me for one), nothing has turned up to prove it. Anyhow, I just recently learned about Cynthia's son, William Hamilton McCallister, who was supposely born in Benton County Arkansas, according to his marriage record. This was info that Joetta McCallister Kuhn shared with me, but she has not been able to find an Ark. record for verification. It's like these large family groups hit the borders of Arkansas and fell into t big, black hole. Can't even learn the counties they were in for the most part. And time frame was between census' - 1854-1857/58 What was most interesting for me to learn was that Cynthia McCallister was among the families who went to ARK!!! So does that mean her parents, Richard McCallister and Sarah Nichols, also went to Ark? Or did she travel there with one of the other families?? She was a bit older, mid-to late 20's, I believe during this time period. So she could have been independent of her parents, but still likely needed to be with a family group........and there were plenty to choose from that traveled with my Richard McCallister.
