I have put on this list before that I am the county contact for the Pocahontas County GenExchange (PLEASE DO NOT CONFUSE THIS WITH THE USGENWEB PROJECT). Out of my own pocket, I have ordered every single available film from the LDS library that contains Pocahontas records. I am transcribing these from film to paper and in turn, they will have to be loaded onto the site in order to make them available to all of you. I am maxing out with time here at 30 hours a week spent transcribing these records and that leaves very little time in order to get the records loaded onto the site. each film is only mine for thirty days so I must put the emphasis on the transcription at this point. Is there anyone that can spare a couple of hours in order to assist in getting these records on line. If you have research in pocahontas county, I need not remind you of what a valuable resource this is going to be. My hope is to have it all up no later than October 1.
