Hello, I am wondering if anyone has any good sites regarding W.W.I or any lists. I am searching for information regarding my Great Uncle William Sylvester ARTHUR. I have a copy of a photograph that I received today which has him wearing an uniform with the following information on it: (1) He is probably a private 1st Class (2) He has lapel pins on both sides and on his had that say - 36 (3)above those lapels it has two cross cannons (4) U.S. pins next to the cross cannons My theory, tell me if I am wrong: 1936 Armor Battalion - Armor Unit Enlisted On the back of this picture (or sketch) it says: La Mar Studios, Inc. & Veteran at World War Any suggestions, comments, advice, or theories will all be appreciated. He left home young, and no one had barely any contact. He was contacted in 1923 for his mother's funeral, but did not attend and did not want to be notified again.
