I called the Barbour Democrat and they said for the year I want it is there. I need the obituary for: Nathan JENKINS died 14 Sept 1926, He lived in Barbour Co. I am looking for the parents of John MORGAN who may have been born in VA or KY. He may have been born in Lexington as this is what his obituary states except that in the census when he was 14 his mother or grandmother Mary states he was born in VA. He was born in December of 1845 and lived in Mason Cnty, KY in 1850 and later lived his life in Adams Cnty, OH on Johnson Run Blue Creek area. Searching for any descendants of Jonathan SMITH born 1832 in Bucks Co., PA and his wife Sarah Jane STATES. Jonathan's parents were Amos SMITH and Marium DAVIS. The parents of Sarah Jane STATES were Archibald STATES and Sarah BREWER. The SMITH family settled in areas along the Ohio River from Ohio to Pleasant and Wood Counties West Virginia. In the 1980s a Jane WILKERSON of Follensbee, West Virginia had in her possession many letters, data and pictures of this family. No one has been able to contact her lately. If anyone knows anything about any descendants of this family or can give me a clue as to what might have happened to all the information collected by Jane Wilkerson I would appreciate it. Would pay for copies of all bible pages, etc. and picture she has as what I have seen is very valuable for researching this family.
