Hi Marilyn, I think I need to I brush up on my history on the states surrounding Ohio. That's probably why they were listed as born in Virginia in earlier census and West Virginia in later ones. A volunteer was able to find him in Virginia in 1850 and 1860 and forwarded the images to me. Looks like he may have had some siblings/relatives living with him in 1850. His surname was listed as STACK in 1860.
