Billy, I don't find any Melvin Woofters (even using Soundex) in the 1930 census in any state. Do you have an estimated age for him, his wife or any of his children? There are several Mary J.s, and some Ruths and Georges, but the father's names are not Melvin or anything close. With ages, we might be able to figure out which of the Woofters he might be.
