I am trying to read the listing for David Alvis in the 1910 Census of Pocohontas County, WVa. He appears in the Woods household, page 63, dwelling/family 74/78, as a boarder along with what I presume to be his wife. However, I cannot read the name. If anyone has a transcription or index, or just a better view of the name with a greater skill at deciphering, I would appreciate some ideas for what it may be. Many thanks, Grant
When it's enlarged, it looks pretty clearly like Edna to me, and that's what the Heritage Quest index has, too. There's some extra marks showing through from the other side of the page, but they become more obviously different than the writing once enlarged. patricivs wrote: >I am trying to read the listing for David Alvis in the 1910 Census of Pocohontas County, WVa.
