I am wondering if there is an every name index for the 1910 WVA census, I am having a terrible time with these relatives. I have found a head of household, who should be with his wife and about five children, and while it shows he is married for 17 years, he is a boarder with someone else, and the family is nowhere to be found?!! I am seeking; Lavina Kelley, age about 36, with children Harry, abt 16yo Edith, abt 14yo Virginia Belle, abt 11yo Joseph Aden, abt 7yo George Nathan, abt 7yo unknown female, abt 5yo Mary Gayle, abt 3yo Desmond Fay (Doc), abt 1yo These people are not with her parents, I cannot find his parents, though they are not dead yet I do know, they are not where they are supposed to be. I had the same type of problem with the last people I tried in WVa in 1910. An every name index would be great! Thanks for any help! Sharon, Thanks for looking. It is interesting how data doen't always match. According to what you ahve found, Harry O has been married 26 years, but his wife only 22! I am wondering if you have the enumeration district, township and page # for the 1930 census that you found. I have access to Heritage Quest, which has the 1930, but no index, with that info, I could download the image to add to my documentation. This is definitely mine, I will have to look and see where Aunt Thelma and Uncle Harry have got to. My notes say that sometime during WW1 they moved to Monongalia, so at least one thing ties in. Thanks for your help. On Tue, 15 Apr 2003 15:13:37 -0400 "Sharon" <jahree@adelphia.net> writes: > I found Harry O. Skinner, a coal miner, in 1930 census . Hi Concetta There is only HOH indexing. The only exception would be if the child were living with a family whose sir name was different. There are sooo many Perry's in WV. Could you give a little more info. Like ages? Or middle initial? I found Harry O. Skinner, a coal miner, in 1930 census . He was 52 yo, born in WV, married at the age of 26 to Emma J. who was 44 and married at the age of 22, also born in WV. Son George W. age 22, son H. Franklin who was 12, son Paul E. age 10, Robert N. was 5&4/12and a single half brother Granville S. Robinson who was age 44. They lived in Grant District of Monongalia County of WV. Sounds close to your's but no Harry Jr or Thelma Ruth. It's possible she could have had another later, or maybe she was already married and gone. There were no other census in WV with that name. I checked other states and no luck. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Maria Kelley" <mariakjek@juno.com> To: <WV-CENSUS-LOOKUP-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, April 14, 2003 11:25 PM Subject: [WVCEN] Lewis/1910/SKinner > I am trying to find Harry Owen Skinner, age 31/32, with wife Emma Jane, > age same, > with children William George (may be George William) Harry Owen, Jr, and > Thelma Ruth. Hi! I know I have bothered y'all a whole lot lately. I'm looking for a single father, last name Perry, with a son George or Dewey and a daughter Bertha. Possibly another son Lester, but I think Lester might have been too old. The only other clue is that George/Dewey would have been 5 years old. Bertha would be close in age as well. Thanks! Concetta
Lester Perry would have had James Perry as a son, near Diamond, WV. His wife's name was Doris, and his daughter's name was Elizabeth. Bertha Perry would have been born bet 1900-1905, since she would be older than my ggrandfather, George Dewey Perry. She lived near Belle, WV Sorry I couldn't give this information before, I just received it. Thank you for trying!
