Could someone with access to this resource please see if they can locate the family I am looking for in the 1900 Hampshire County, WV (Springfield District) federal census. I am trying to locate the return for: HUGH SOLOMON SIMPSON (who was enumerated as S. Hugh Simpson in 1880, Solomon H. Simpson in 1910 and Hugh S. Simpson in 1920) b. 1857 (43 in 1900), in PA (father b. Ireland, mother b. PA) Probably living with him is his daughter, ETHEL L. SIMPSON, b. 1888 (12 in 1900) in WV Hugh's first wife died in 1891. In 1910 he was enumerated as a widower. I am trying to find out if he had a second wife in between 1891 and 1910. Would greatly appreciate having the census return for this family. Hi, I am looking for A. J. McCann, age 47. Wife, Sophia, age 37. Daughters, Maud, 17 and Flossey, 12. The family was living in Wood County in 1880 where he was a druggist. Sophia is found in 1910 living in Gallia County (her hometown), Ohio under the name of Sophia Wells, a widow. I don't know when she married this Wells or what happened to her marriage to McCann.
