Would someone please lookup Maggie O'Neil in 1920 census of Harrison county. She did not always reveal her true age. In 1910 the image was hard to read, but looked like 35. She was housekeeper for John Fox in 1910 and was born in Pennsylvania. Thank you kindly Tom Maher

There is also a son Lewis born abt 1861. Most of this Sencindiver family were living in Martinsburg,Berkeley Co but I believe Lewis is listed with his uncle George SINCINDIVER in 1880 in Mill Creek, Berkeley Co. I am trying to locate this Lewis 1835 to determine his parent's names. I know this line & can't find clear data to prove who his parents were. It is my belief that his parents may have been Elisha Sencindiver & Elizabeth Lewis Sencindiver who reportedly had only 1 unknown child. Many thanks Rebecca _____________________________________________________________________ Get your own family web site at at www.MyFamily.com! --MyFaMiLyMiMeBoUnDaRy02292000--

Carol, Just thought I would let you know that in the 1860 index they transcribed the birth state as Penn--I guess they couldn't make it out either and Pennsylvania was their best guess. I really appreciate this. Now, another favor? Can you tell in the 1860 census where he states his place of birth is? I can see hers is Virginia, but I cannot make out what his is supposed to be. Allegedly, he was born in Maryland, but that conglomeration of letters does not look like MAryland. And I don't know how to clean it up to make it out? I don't think this transmitted the first time, I apologize if it did Hi, Searching for Lydia JAMES in 1870 Harrison Co. WV Census. She is listed on the Fayette Co. PA Census age 55 born in PA widow. She had a son named Ashbel F. JAMES b. abt. 1835 give or take a year or two. I know somewhere sometime (while on the hunt for my JANES/JAYNES families in HC) I saw Lydia and Ashbel JAMES on that census I think it was the 1870 maybe the 1860. I have Ashbel James' C.S.A. military file (by mistake) and I'm now trying to hunt down someone researching this family so I can pass on this file. Lydia and Ashbel might be listed as JONES on the census in Harrison Co. THere is an "Ashbel JANES" on the census with his parents James W. JANES and Mary Ann JANES but this is a different Ashbell. I do know that Lydia (UNK) JAMES was his mother I don't know who his father was though. I do know that Ashbel F. James had a sister named "Lydia" too and she was listed as age 20 on the 1850 Fayette PA Census. This is all I know about this JAMES family. Any help would be great, Jana Jaynes Thomas
Thank you. I made it out in the 1850 census. Thank you so much for your time. It's so wonderful to see your ancestor's name written there at the very time he was a young man. Makes you feel humble. Thanks, Carol

Hi, I'm searching for Job Slocum in 1860. He may have been in Harrison or Taylor Co. in 1860. The name could be under Job or Jobe or look like John in the transcription. The surname has been seen as "Slocum" "Slocom" "Slocomb" Slocume" "Slokum" "Slockum", Slocolmb"....whew! Job and family is seen in the 1850 Harrison Co. Census as follows: Jobe age 40 born Va Mariah age 35 born Va Mary age 15 born Va Robert age 14 born Va Thornton age 12 born Va Seth age 10, born Va Elijah age 8 born Va Emily age 6 born Va Mariah age 4 born Va David age 2 born Va This is all of the info I have, I cannot locate any of these children in the 1880 census but have a clue to one is Missouri. I know Mariah age 35 in the above census was born in Harrison Co. and so was husband Job and all of the children were born in Harrison Co. VA/WV Any help would be greatly appreciated Thank you, Jana
