According to Ancestry.com, I find a listing for Ballard White in the 1860 census. Ballard P. White is listed under Kanawha County in 1860. He is listed in the Federal Census Index on Page 275. Hi there I checked the WV census in Ancestry.com and there were no WAUGHS listed for Wayne County. There were a few for Cabell County which is next to Wayne. I am doing searches in the vicinity of Lewis/Braxton/Upshur counties and I know that there are WAUGHS there as a man by the name of WAUGH married my husbands Aunt. I am looking for a Christian G Pfatenhauer who was living in Parkersburg in 1900. I suspect that he may have been listed in the census as Charles G Pfatenhauer. He was born in Pfarrweisach, Bavaria, Germany,  8 Nov 1867. I'm not sure of his profession but he may have been listed as musician or band leader. His wifes name was Justine V Pfatenhauer but I think it may have been recorded in the census as Gustina Pfatenhauer. She was born in Sebree, Kentucky about 1880. At the time the census would have been taken they had one daughter named Genevive Pfatenhauer. I believe she was correctly listed in the census as Genevive. Hello, Does anyone have access to the 1900 census for WV or the Soundex index for that census? I am looking for John and Alabama "Allie" YOUNG. She born 1867/8, he 1865/6, son of Samuel Young. Also Edward MOWERY and wife Sarah. He born 1874, she 1878/9 daughter of Henry & Eliza Light. They had one child I am aware of-Ray born 1897.
