I changed the notation in the subject line of all the emails a little to shorten it. It was WV-CENSUS-LOOKUP and now it is WVCEN only. Hope this helps a little. Thanks! Just passing this on....but it is appropriate, and oh, so true.... Hello to all, I hope that everyone has a wonderful holiday season and a prosperous New Year. I just wanted to remind everyone that this is the time of year that all the newbies arrive with their unbridled enthusiasm as well as their lack of netiquette. Let's all remember... ...how exciting those jokes were to forward to friends. ...when we assumed that all Smiths were related. ...when we didn't know that all CAPS was shouting. ...when we never heard of list vs. digest mode. ...when we first found that spell check button. ...when we realized just how important an "Accurate Subject Line" really is. ...when we accidentally sent that dirty joke to the list. ...when we read that dirty joke on a list. ...when we couldn't unsub from a list no matter what. ...when we felt it was our civic duty to forward all virus warnings as instructed. ...when we believed all those hoaxes sent to us. ...when we made our first online discovery. ...when we felt confident enough to assist someone new................ -written by Nicol Wieme www.nicol.wieme.com Keep smiling, and Happy hunting. Thanks for all that you do to assist others! I know that it is all appreciated! Merry Christmas and Have a Wonderful New Year! Talk to you all soon! Sorry, in my previous posting I gave the roll number for the 1900 census. I realize most 1890 censuses were destroyed, but would appreciate anyone who could check the 1880 census for the same info, too. Thanks, Jane Hi, I'm new to the list. Is anyone available to do a lookup for William Wilson and wife Elizabeth in the 1890 Mineral county census, Elk township? The roll # is 1766. I'm hoping to learn if his mother Agnes was also listed in the household. Many thanks, Jane

I am currently transcribing the 1920 census for Mingo Co. If I can look out for any names foe anyone I most certainly will. Am doing the Hardee District with Frank Elswick as the enumerator. Let me know what names you need and I can try to get info to you but can't make any promises. Have other resources I can yet. You must be patient tho as I do work full time and am planning a reunion for surnames associated with Eastern KY for 2002. The above variations of JENNEWINE appear in various records but all (so far) wind up on tombstones as JENNEWINE . Will/can someone help with lookups in the 1880 census ? Believe all to be in the Union District . vol 8 , around enumeration sheet 97 I think. Bartholomew: need parents names for both he and wife Annie V .. both show birthplace of VA aged 33 and 36 respectively in 1880 ...any other data noted ? Maggie : wife of Christian need surname of parents . . she was aged 37 in 1880, born in VA, mother of George B, Charles N, Willie, Carrie, Annie, and Frank. Wilhelmina b-1864/d3-14-1895 buried Jennewine cemetery not in soundex index. None of the above appear in 1900 soundex index ?? Can they be found inactual census ? I am primarily interested in Bartholomew and family ... any information /help or redirection will be appreciated ...... Thanks in advance ... Bert Frederick ggrandson of Bartholomew and Annie V
