    3. Would some kind person look up James Lewis Hayes/Hays in the 1880 census? He should be in Braxton County, but might be in Clay County. His wife's name was Bashaba but the spelling on that varies. They would probably have 3 or 4 children listed with them. Also, if possible could you look to see if he is on the 1870 census for Braxton County? They were married in June of 1870 so they may have been missed in the census. Any help is greatly appreciated. Lois Hayes

    2. Lynn
    3. Hi all, Could someone with access to the 1850 Mason County census please check for a listing of the following individual and her family:: Catherine Black, b. 22 FEb 1844 So she would have been approx 6 years old on the 1850 census. I have conflicting information regarding the names of Catherine's parents. For the sake of argument, I will list both couples: Jeremiah Black & Lucinda Croninger Black Sid Black & Frances Lamb Black (Most likely couple) It is known that there were other children in this family group. I don't have a dob for them. But their names were given as: Louise, Sarah, Mary, Emmerson, Peter, Nimrod & Martin Black. As always, I would appreciate whatever information you may be able to provide. 3. Hi Katie, You are so sweet to look this up. I have the census for Peter and Maggie now sent by you and Jane. Peter was my Grandmother's 2nd husband. Thanks to everybody. I have the 1860/1870/1900 (S-K publications) and 1920 (by Nettie Gregory) Webster and the 1920 Calhoun (Wes Cochran) census if you or anyone needs a lookup there. I would take me a while to look these up on all but the 1920 Calhoun as these are cd's. 1. [WVCEN] 1850-1860 / Mason Co. - Abner Perry
    2. Lynn
    3. Hello, I am trying to identify the parents and family of a GGGF, who I have recently been advised was born in Mason County, WV. Would someone with access to the 1850 - 1860 Mason County census please do a lookup for the following individual/family group: Abner Bowen Perry, b. 14 AUG 1845, Mason County. Age approx. 5 years in 1850, 10 years in 1860. I have "conflicting" info regarding his parents' names. But my most reliable source has them as - William Perry & Nancy Conrad Perry. I have also been advised that Abner Perry had several half-brothers and half-sisters. So there should be more than one child listed on the censuses. Or so I hope. Any info about this family group would be greatly appreciated. He appears in the Woods household, page 63, dwelling/family 74/78, as a boarder along with what I presume to be his wife. However, I cannot read the name. If anyone has a transcription or index, or just a better view of the name with a greater skill at deciphering, I would appreciate some ideas for what it may be. Many thanks, Grant
