It was pretty much inaccessible with the car I was driving, so I didn't go up the hill. Take someone with you if you plan to visit -- there are black bears in "them thar hills" (I'm not kidding!). Are you related to Kay Hamby? She and I were majorettes together at Leewood Junior High School, wa-a-a-ay back in the 50s.
