I'm not sure if you are referring to the little town of Cabin Creek near the Kanawha River, or the wider area called Cabin Creek. My mother grew up for part of her childhood in a mining town called Republic which she and the family also referred to as Cabin Creek. It was in southern Kanawha county below a town named Decota (not sure on spelling) which is still there. Anyway, my grand-uncle, his wife, and grand-aunt are all buried in the cemetery at Republic. We were there to visit the cemetery in 2001. The road was gated, but we were allowed in by the folks who lived by the gate. There may be other similar cemeteries in the old mining towns down there. I've heard that the Prior Funeral Home handled most of the funerals in that area. They may be able to give you some good information. Hope this helps you out.
