Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Dz.2ADEAE/22.1.3 Message Board Post: Ok I have this information on the Cemetery, The Wyatt's owned the property adjoining the Cemetery Possibly "Lee Wyatt" was the Name of the person, My Husband tells me that there are Blossers/ Wyatt's buried there. You half to go thru the property to get to the Cemetery. Leavitt Funeral Home should be able to tell you where this Graveyard is located since they buried His Grandfather "Wyatt" there. My Husband said that you half to drive up the property and then walk on past the farm to get to the cemetery it is really hard to get to in the winter and was the last time He went grown up in the summer. It is outside of Spencer but that is all we can give you until we can get a map or find some additional information, It would have been listed thru the WPA since it was an old family graveyard. He does not remember seeing a marker for his Grandfather but one could have been put there since he did not get to go there often. There is a cousin who remembers the cemetery and also can! tell you of others that are buried there we will get in touch with him and see if He can give us any further information. If we can be of any further help please email us directly. Thank you Macykate@hotmail.com

My Husband can describe where it is but so far no luck at locating it. There is a possibility that there is other Lowthers buried at the International Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery in Harrisville but we have been unable to locate anyone to talk to them and find out who has the buriel record books. We Know that there is another Lowther buried there: A "John Lee Lowther" who was born in 1933 and died in 1984 who also died from heart problems at a young age like my Husbands father did. But what we can find this might be one of My Husbands grandfathers brothers children. As of now we are unable to contact the Daughter due to she has changed her email address and not updated it. We have been told that there are other family members in the Wyatt Cemetery also and that from what my Husband can remember it has always been called that due to the first person buried there was a Wyatt.

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Dz.2ADEAE/22.1.1 Message Board Post: The WV State Gazetteer does not list a Blosser/Wyatt cemetery. There is a Blosser Hollow in Roane County's Spencer District, so I took a quick look at the Roane County Cemeteries Spencer District book, compiled from WPA records by Evelyn Fisher. Because this is WPA, the records date from the 1930's-early 1940's. A Blosser Cemetery on Egypt Ridge Road is listed. A Wyatt Cemetery on US 119 is listed also. I suggest you write to the Roane County Historical Society, P. O. Box 161, Spencer, WV 25276-0161, for more up-to-date information. If you want a search done for death records and obituaries for the family members mentioned, you can do so through the WV Archives and History Library. For more information on sending a research letter, visit our Web site at http://www.wvculture.org/history under the Archives section.

I am researching the Blossers and related families of Roane County, too. I have been trying to get around to the various cemeteries to take photos and document for future generations, among other things, where my family died and are buried. I have been trying especially to find out for sure when and where John and Sidner or Sidney Long Blosser died and are buried. They were my great grandparents on my dad's side. They lived near Spencer and maybe later near Triplett, Roane County. John's father was Henry Blosser of Reedy, WV. John's mother was Isabelle Stewart Blosser. Russ Blosser

    3. There is a Craig Holler in Kimberly, which is up Armstrong Creek. I never knew of a cemetery there but then again as a kid I wasn't looking. There may be more than that but that's the first one that came to mind, and the Jones/Morris families owned ALL that land. Kimberly is in Fayette County on the south side of the Kanawha River, just about 5 miles east of Montgomery, which lays across both county lines, Fayette and Kanawha. timm@t-one.net wrote: >This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > >Surnames: Jones, Harris >Classification: Query > >Message Board URL: > >http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Dz.2ADEAE/75 > >Message Board Post: > >I am looking for my Great Grandfather: William Henry Jones and My Great Grandmother: Etta M.
