First, he shows a baptismal date for Ebenezer that is six years prior to James and Abigail (Kilborn) Ayrault joining the church the contains the entry, seven years prior to their marriage and nine years prior to the baptism of their next child. Second, there are no other references to an "Ebenezer Ayrault" in any records I have ever seen. And while this may carry little weight, there is also the fact that "Ebenezer" simply is not a name that is used in the Ayrault family. Stiles cites the Wethersfield Church Records and so to resolve the issue once and for all what I should do is review the original church records. I'll put it on my "to do" list!
