I have done research on the subject. If he was indeed a cousin of the Wright brothers there would be a common relation. He was Archy Alven Wright and I have traced him back to Parley Wright born in 1814 in Manlius New York. There is no trace of his parentage. What I have found is that at that time there were several Wright families in Manlius and that those families had slaves who were from the reservation in Onodago County which is close to Manlius. The head of one of the Wright families was Benomi Wright. Because my grandfather was of a darker skin, we are now searching the records to see if his grandfather was a slave. As such the relationship would be that of a master and his slave.
