She was born in Portland, Idaho on August 31, 1925, the daughter of the late Ora and Virginia Witsche Brady. She attended nursing school and was an RN. She was a life member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing Bridge and was awarded many Master Points. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Wright, one sister, Montez Brady, and one brother, Bill Brady. Jan is survived by two sons; Ted Wright (Mary), of Millcreek Twp., John Wright of Pittsburgh, one sister, Barbara Jean Craig (Dale) of Chesapeake, Va., four grandchildren: Kelly Dickens, Bryan Wright, Megan Straiko ,and Kevin Wright, six great grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Brady, of Plantation, Fla. She is further survived by her "Grandma Sitters", Ted and Barb Hoover, Mary and Ed Swonder, and Paul Wilkoz. Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited there on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. for the funeral service conducted by the Rev. Shane Matthew. Interment St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Villa Maria Elementary School Scholarship Fund, 2551 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
