    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: samudiocinde Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.wright/5311.4/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am researching the Wrights of Williamsport Lycoming Co PA My Grandfather was Lester Miles Wright born 1899-1978 born to Sarah Entz and Charles Lyons Wright, My 2nd Great Grandfather was William F Wright and my 3rd Grandfather is the ancestor Benjamin Wright 1794-1873 born in Bucks County Pa and immigrated to Lycoming County I have noticed that all family trees connected to Benjamin Wright either stop with Benjamin or have Samuel Wright as Benjamin's father, but I have another theory since Benjamin married Eunice Farnsworth and her family seems to be a very well connected Quaker family from New Jersey, I am thinking that the family would not have let her marry just anyone, the Samuel Wright that everyone has in ancestry.com is not making sense to me, if he was from Virginia then there no connections with Pennsylvania families, of course it is possible, but it makes more sense to me that the family Eunice married into was the Wright family that had connections in New Jersey ! and Pennsylvania. New Jersey is just across the Delaware River from Bucks County so this make sense to me, the problem for me is all the Wright families seem to have name their children the same Family Names, so it is very hard to determined who would have been Benjamin's father and his father, I have been targeting the Wright's for Bucks County and I think I have found the right family but cannot be 100% sure . The family is Stephen Wright in Bucks County Pa with the family line I believe going thur the Thomas Wright married to Mary Schooly I have used the maps on ancestry.com Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. Oh, you are so right. Those Wrights from Bucks County are so elusive. I am descended from Amos, the brother of Benjamin. My Dad started researching this family back in the 1970s and he was pretty sure they did come from New Jesey but could not find the final proof. I have been looking since the 1980s and can't find the Bucks County ancestor for sure which would maybe let me get back to New Jersey. I am very upset with some of the trees on Ancestry. They seem just add what they think fits without any proof. There is no suggestion in any of my research that any of them came from Virginia. I have been working with 2 others in this family and we all feel the New Jersey connection is correct. If we could find the minutes from the correct Quaker Meeting, we could maybe find the needed information. Unfortunately none of us have been able to locate these minutes. I keep hoping to get to Philadelphia to see if they are there. Good luck and if you do find anything, let us know. I will do the same thing.
