He was wounded during the Petersburg campaign and had his left leg amputated, and died from the wounds July 1864. I have his detailed service record, but unfortunately the one thing it is missing is his hometown, needed so I can confirm without a doubt that it is him. He had brothers James, Jonathan, William Haviland, sisters Louisa, Susan and Ellen. Father was Daniel R. Wright of Bayside, Queens, mother Susan E. Smith Wright.
