(Wright) Couch, 70, passed away Oct. 27, 2007, at her home, after a long fight with cancer. She was a resident of the High Desert for 46 years. Kay was born March 2, 1937, in Independence, Kan. She was very active as a volunteer for Little League, Girl Scouts and all school activities. Kay is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Dale J. Couch; an aunt, Bernice Watson of Independence, Kan.; son Rick Couch and his wife, Desiree, of New Braunfels, Texas, and their two daughters, Brittany and Regan, both of Aubern, Ala.; daughter Sandy Lange of Boron and her son, Kyle, of St. Joseph, Mo.; daughter Cheryl Roe and her husband, Art, of Renton, Wash., and their daughters Kari and Jennifer of Seattle, Wash.; brother Bill Wright, of Independence, Kan., and sister Linda Woodard, of Peoria Illinois. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Amanda Wright, and two brothers Bob Wright and Pete Wright, all of Independence, Kan. No services are planned.
