I don't know where the family originated from. The earliest info I can find is from his death certificate which says- b- 1862 Alabama, d-1938 TX. Father's name John Dunn Wright, Mother's name Sarah Pittman. I have been able to trace his life from 1900 thru death w/ census'. Another researcher says John Sr. was killed in 1862 during the Civil War, fighting for the south. His war records are incomplete. Any help would be great!!
