McCarty b. 17 Jul 1812 Jackson Co., Ga. d. 12 Feb. 1894 Winston Co., Alabama Children: Mary Christian Glenn; William Cornelius; Duncan Lovejoy I also have the wills of William and Mary Ayers Wright - and the estate papers. The obit that is commonly thought to be his 'Dr. William Wright' - is NOT this William, but a Dr. William Wright, Rev. Soldier from Conn. He had two sons in New York and no other children were mentioned in his will or a wife. Dr. Wright owned a lot of books, fine clothes, and medical instruments, and was owed money... our 'Planter' William Wright owned fine horses, farm implements, and household goods, and owed money! I have all these records so have sorted the two men out... but simply have NO idea where and when our William was born! It appears he was in Georgia before the end of the war having married in 1779 in Clarke Co., Ga. - and I believe he was thought to have deserted a unit in Virginia but rejoined when he got to Georgia. If anyone knows any family that is missing a William please let me know! Thanks Diane S Sanfilippo
