Martha Pringle was my gr.gr.gr.aunt. She was the sister of my gr.gr.grandfather George Pringle. Both were born in County Queens, Ireland. They came to Upper Canada in 1819. They first landed in PEI where their mother Jane Gibbons/Gribbens passed away in April 1818. I have not had much success in researching the Wright males as so many of them in Grey shared the same first names. Joseph and Martha were married 18 January 1836 in Vaughan Twp., York Co., Ontario. I have a bit of a problem with the 1851/52 census as it lists a son James but does not mention Mary Jane. I have no information on a James. The age for James is the same as Mary Jane's who was born 18 July 1841. There was a Joseph born after their move to Grey County around 1850/51. He is buried in Irwin Cemetery along with his parents. The stone has been cut off so that I cannot get the dates. You can contact me off site at pblackstock@sympatico.ca Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
