Wright, 92, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2008, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. The son of Carl and Clara Willa Lentz Wright, he was born October 20, 1915, in Columbus, Ohio. He attended Ohio State University and graduated in 1937 with a BEE degree. He married Martha Louise "Bunny" Berlin on May 6, 1939, in Columbus, Ohio. He was a United States Army Veteran of WWII. He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps as a first lieutenant. After the war, he did post-graduate work at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pa. He was a career electrical engineering executive with Westinghouse Electirc Corporation, during which time he was credited with 18 U.S. patents. He took early retirement in 1975 and became technical director for IEM in Mexico City, where he and Bunny lived for five years. He retired and became engineering manager for the Public Service Commision of the state of Missouri in Jefferson City, Missouri. He then organized Tran! sformers Consultants Inc. and worked with Protec in Monterrey, Mexico, from which he retired in 1987.Leonard and Bunny moved to Russellville in 1981. They were active in the local Republican part, and he served as chairman of the Pope County Republican Committee. He was a member of the I.E.E.E> American Standards Association, Tau Beta Pi, Eta Kappa Nu, Kiwanis Club, the National Clock Association and the Sons of the American Revolution, He was a member of the All Saints Episcopal Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Julie Ann Wright; and a sister, Clara Louise Wright. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Martha "Bunny" Wright of Russellville, three daughters, Donna W. Martin and husband, Craig H., of Russellville, Louise W. Larason and husband, Jerry L., of Anderson, S.C., Elizabeth W. Thomas and husband, James J., of Jefferson City, Mo.; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, 10 nephews and nieces and other family and friends. The family will hold a memorial service at noon Thrusday, January 10, 2008, at All Saints Episcopal Church. Father Jos Tharakan wil officiate. Cremation arrangements are by Humphrey Funeral Service.
