This was a very interesting and informative site. Thank you for bringing to my attention. I have an ancestor FRY married to a WRIGHT and his nickname was ERIE FRY.....so I thought he might of had something to do with the building or running of the Erie Canal. He was born in Illinois to parents who came from NC via TN. I'll keep checking back for more clues. KC FRYE Texas
