Wright Jr. Founder of Wright's Garage Robert L. Wright Jr., 54 of Albion, died Friday February 8, 2008 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Ashtabula on May 11, 1953 a son of Robert L. Wright Sr. of Albion and the late Charlotte Bray Wright. Bob graduated from the Nothwestern High School in 1971. He then went to work for New Motors in Erie and worked there for 13 years as a mechanic. He founded "Wright's Garage" in Girard in 1986, which recently completed its 21st year in business. His family had always been his priority in life. Bob was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He loved his pug dog, "Sachmo" as well. He was a member of the State Line United Methodist Church, where he was active in the Cabin Committee and a member of the Board of Trustee's. He enjoyed hunting and spending time at the family camp, "Twin Oaks". He was a NASCAR fan, who rallied for Rusty Wallace and enjoyed traveling to the Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte NC. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a sister, Susan D. Kurpiewski on October 10, 2007. He will be greatly missed by his family, which includes his wife, Diane L. Merritt Wright, whom he married on Februrary 5, 1972 in Wellsburg; also by three daughters, Shelly L. Taylor and her husband Tony of Girard, Robin L. Hecker of Albion, Carri A. Fedor and her husband Josh of Albion; a son, Robert L. Wright III and his wife Rachel of Cranesville; two s! isters, Tammy L. Wright and her companion Thomas C. Niles of Floyd, Va., Debra L. Byrd and her husband Gerry of Springboro; three brothers, Douglas A. Wright and his wife Carol of Ashtabula, Mickey C. Wright and his wife Christine of Albion, Keith B. Wright and his wife Marian of Springboro; eight grandchildren, Cassidy, Braydon, Emma, Derek, Brady, Charlotte, Tony, and Dominick; a brother-in-law, Ed Kurpiewski of Girard; A close family friend, Matt Cousins of Erie and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Daniel R. Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard. Services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the State Line United Methodist Church, 7321 Bushnell Rd., Conneaut, Ohio, Rev. David J. Anderson, pastor of the church officiating.
