The 1850 census shows him in Lawrence County, Ohio, married to Matilda with 3 children (born in Ohio and Penn.). It lists his birthplace as Upper Canada, The 1860 census shows him in Lewis County, Missouri and lists his birthplace as New York. By that time he has five children, with the youngest born in Illinois. The 1870 census shows Matilda Wright, b. in Penn., with 3 of the youngest children living in Brown County, Ill. I presume Alexander had died by that time. The 1880 census shows Matilda and some of the children back in Lewis County, Missouri.
