Though you probably remember this also, let me add the following paragraph for everyone else's benefit: as per a post you wrote in October 2000 titled "James Wright (Nelson County, Va)": "I have found no birth records for children of James and Elizabeth in Nelson County. James Wright appears on the 1844 Nelson County Personal Property Tax List on the same date as Shelton Wright and owned 1 horse. He also appears in 1845, 1846 1847 with 1 horse and in 1848 1849 with 2 horses, but not in the 1850 list. There is a deed of trust dated May 8, 1846, and recorded at Nelson County D.B. 11/336 in which a James Wright of Nelson County secured a debt for rental of William Massie's farm with four cows, a yearling, one horse, one stallion, and other personal property as well as all of his interest in the estate of his late grandfather John Campbell of Amherst. This was probably the same James Wright as the James listed in the 1850 Nelson Census, since there was no other James Wright listed in either that census or the Nelson County Personal Property Tax Lists for 1846. A tracing through the Campbell family may help you to identify this James Wright."
