I find on the census that Aaron Wright and his wife, Mary C are both from Indiana. I have found a marriage record in Shelby County, Illinois for Aaron Wright and Mary C Keency 8 Oct 1854. There aren't many Keency's, so I've been trying to think what she might have said and the clerk would've written down. Was it Kinsey? Maybe Kuncy with the open tops on the u? I find them in 1860 living in Belmont, Woodson, Kansas Territory. Aaron Wright 30 b Ind Mary 23 b Ind William 4 b Ind (my great great grandfather) Thomas 2 b Ill Elisabeth 6/12b MO Then in 1870 I found them in Verdigris, Wilson, Kansas. At one time I could open the census on Ancestry.com, but a long time now it shows an error and doesn't open. On that census we have Aaron Wright b IND Mary C b. IND William H b. Ill Thomas b Ill Elisabeth b MO (listed as deaf and dumb) Isaac A b Ill Ulysses b KS J.C. b KS John F b Ks I can't remember, but I think the children, other than Ulysses were listed by initials. On the 1875 Kansas State Census, 15 year old L.E. Wright is living in the Assylum for the Deaf and Dumb in Olathe, Kansas. I never find the parents again. In 1880 I find William H Wright and wife Cynthia E in Mountain Home, Baxter, AR. William and Cynthia have 5 month old Augustus and also in the house listed as brothers, 18 year old Isaac A born in Illinois and 15 year old John F. born in Kansas. Also 21 year old Mary Kissee sister-in-law. I have found a marriage record in Ozark County, Missouri for William H. Right and Cynthia Reesee (Kissee is sometimes spelled Keesee) 25 Apr 1878. The children that William and Cynthia had as listed in their family bible: William Augustus "Gus" Wright b 1 Feb 1880 Arkansas James Edward Wright b 17 Sep 1881 Arkansas Don Marcus Wright b 13 Mar 1883 d 18 Oct 1883 John Arthur "Charley" Wright b 27 May 1885 Carmen Ercel Wright b 17 Mar 1887 (my great grandmother) m Frank Elmer Jones Ora Gladys Wright b 27 Nov 1891 d 21 May 1892 Jesse Leonard Wright bo 13 Jan 1899 I have not been able to find a death date for William H Wright. The family lived in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas where William ran a general store. I'm told that he was murdered on his way home. It was believed he died in a robbery. I can find that his wife Cynthia (listed as Lizzie on son Jesse's WWI draft registration card) died in Springfield, MO 1930. Her death certificate indicates that she was buried in Riverside Cemetery in Mammoth Springs, but I've not been able to locate Riverside records to see if William is buried there and the time of his death.
