According to a news article in The Dispatch in Lexington, NC, in 1911, Ruth and Jesse had nine (9) children. Most researchers only show seven (7), those being - exception is the first son: 1. JUST FOUND: An unknown named son, shown in the 1830 census, as 'under 5', also appears in the 1840 census as age 10-15. 2. Celia Ann Gallimore was born on 11 November 1831 in Davidson Co. NC and died on 28 June 1931 in Davidson City, Mecklenburg Co. NC, at age 99. Celia married John Morgan Primm 3. Margaret E. Gallimore was born circa 1834. Married Carney Forshee ------ 4. Nelson W. Gallimore was born circa 1836. Died in TX 5. Wilson W. Gallimore was born circa 1838. 6. William F. Gallimore was born circa 1844. 7. Caroline 'Lina' Gallimore was born circa 1846. Married William K. Dickens 8. Sarah J. Gallimore was born circa 1850. Married Stephen Alexander Hamilton. There may be another daughter - Mary Ann Gallimore, born abt 1840, but unable to verify. Some researchers show her as a daughter, others do not. Seeking any substantiated information on the above family.
