My name is Jacqueline Sigrist and I am working on part of my family tree. While doing a search on Lycurgus Wright, your thread came up. Here is the info I have.. please let me know if any of this fits: My grandfather is James R. Sigrist- 1922- still living. His parents were Hazel Fern Jackson (1899-1984) and James Taylor Sigrist. (1899-1959). Hazel's parents were Alfred/Alford C. Jackson (born Feb 20, 1876 in Missouri) and Lauretta Wright. (Lauretta born in June of 1876.. or earlier... unsure of exact date) Lauretta's parents were Lucurgus Wright and Caroline James. My grandmother, Audrey (Temple) Sigrist tells me we are related to Jesse James because of the Caroline James' family. Hmmmmm.... Please e-mail if you have more info. Having done a good deal of looking in to JAMES family (Jonathan is buried in our LEE Cemetery ) and with Surname SAMUELS we constantly field queries. I don't see my Lycurgus notes right now( he is not of the WRIGHT-LEE clan of Randolph and Howard county MO> I seem to recall he is of the Townsend WRIGHT line, no known kin.
