NY - but the more I research I see that at least his first 5 children were born in or near Hartford. Jonathan's son Derrick is my husband's 3rd great grandfather. Derrick did have a brother named Smith as I posted. I think that Smith was probably born around 1780-1786. I wonder if Alexander could be a brother to Jonathan?
