I've been researching my HUTCHINSON line for about 10 years (and my ancestors did). This week I'd like to go back and find out more about my gr-gr-grandmother's only living sibling, George HUTCHINSON, b~1845 in Winchester, MA (Woburn, MA). The 1870 census has George and his wife, Mary, living with his parents on the HUTCHINSON Farm in Winchester, MA. They have an infant son with them. But, in 1880, George is living in the next town, Arlington, MA, with a wife, Amy. His son, Carleton, is Age 10. >From family papers, I know George's first wife was Mary Elizabeth WRIGHT, who was probably born ~1843, probably in MA. I don't know who her parents were, and I'd like to find out. If George has a different wife in 1880, there are 2 options, either Mary died during the 1870's, or they divorced. So, I would probably be looking for the death of Mrs. Mary HUTCHINSON in Winchester or Arlington, MA, in the 1870's. (George had an aunt, Mrs. Mary HUTCHINSON, so that could be confusing.) When I check census information, the only Mary WRIGHT of the right age in the 1860 census was found in a type of "foster home" in Watertown, MA, at Age 17. I was wondering if anyone knows about this WRIGHT family. Betty (near Lowell, mA) P.S. I know there were many WRIGHT families in Middlesex County, MA, during the mid-1800's.
