He was a retired linotype operator for the News Gazette in Champlaign,IL, a veteran of the U S Army and a member of the International Typographical Union. He was a Methodist. He is survived by his wife , Margaret ; two sons Roland of Port Richey and Harold of Springfield , MO.; two sisters , Bluebelle Shuck of Bethany , ILL , and Balache Watson of Mishawacka , IN. ; three grandchildren ; and one great grand daughter.
