Hello, I just joined this List to see if I can find out about a lady in Winchester, MA. She is Mary Elizabeth WRIGHT who was born around 1844, probably in MA. I don't know who her parents were, and I don't know where she was living in 1850 and 1860. Probably around 1869 she was marrying George Homer HUTCHINSON in MA, possibly in Winchester, but anywhere near Boston. The 1870 census has George and Mary living with his parents on the HUTCHINSON Farm in Winchester, MA. And, they have an infant son with them. In 1880 George is living in the next town, Arlington, with a different wife, Amy. And, his son, Carleton Homer HUTCHINSON, Age 10, is with them. So, I am guessing that Mrs. Mary HUTCHINSON, mother of Carleton, died during the 1870's. (George had an aunt, Mrs. Mary HUTCHINSON, and an unmarried cousin with the same name, so it is confusing.) The only Mary WRIGHT I could find in the 1860 census with the correct age, was a 17-year-old teen living in a type of "foster home" in Watertown, MA. I was wondering if anyone knew about this Mary WRIGHT. I am aware that there were many WRIGHT families in Middlesex County, MA, in the mid-1800's. And, I am aware that there is a WRIGHT Family Association. And, I am aware that there was a WRIGHT family in Winchester and Woburn in the 1800's. Thank you for your time.
