It looks like the Morgan and the Wright families knew each other in Maryland. Is it possible that Richard Wright's wife 'Ann' was a Morgan? If he was still in Maryland in 1753/54 timeframe, that would account why there's no marriage information for them in NC - they would have married in Maryland before Benjamin was born in 1752. It's possible when the Wright brothers headed to NC, the Morgan's and possibly other families went as well. No telling when they could have left MD, but it was after the last 'legal' episode he participated in. That would leave a gap of about 8-10 years until 1762, when the deed show him in Orange County, NC. Perhaps they stopped over in Virginia? Kinda long stop-over. I saw something recently that said early 1760's he was in the Norfolk Virginia area. Fact? I don't know. The fact that James Morgan Jr. witnessed Richard, Sr.'s will would also indicate a familiar relationship - either her brother or nephew? Just speculating. Pg 87 "July 18 th 1754 then was m. James Morgan to Mary Davis (OR2-205)...August 29 th 1755 b. Prementer Morgan; Dec 7th 1757 b. Sarah Morgan; April 26th 1760 b. James Morgan; s/o & d/o James and Mary his wife." This would be consistent with the Revolutionary information I sent you previously on James Morgan Jr. and would show that this James Morgan Jr. is a son of James and Mary Davis Morgan. There is no listing for Barbara Morgan...but all entries that I have seen state she was born In NC...so that might mean that she was born after 1860 and they had already Moved from Maryland to North Carolina. I could not tell if a previous email of this information was sent to you...I am resending it to make sure.that you get it. Jayne Wright-Allison **************Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight?
