Last year, I found a male desc of my Reuben Wright,(b 1779 VA)& this man agreed to a DNA test. We were a 12 for 12 marker match with a desc of Jarrett Wright (who married Tabitha Howell in 1791, Lunenburg Co. VA). This Jarrett moved to Wilkes Co GA & then died in 1820, Greene Co. GA. I also found some others of this particular Wright line in E. IL, around Madison Co. However, none of the Wright researchers of these areas include my Reuben in their data. "My" Jarrett Wright (don't know the connection yet)was a son of Wm Wright, b 1755, VA & Wm was a brother to another Jarrett Wright who married Eliz Griffin. I believe Job was this Jarrett's brother, isn't that correct? My line from Reuben & Anna (Gilbert) Wright, who married in 1798, Sussex Co. Va, moved to Greene Co. OH, with the Wrights from Brunswick Co. to set up the Methodist-Episcopal Church in Xenia. They then moved on to become early settlers in Henry Co. IN. Reuben & Anna/Joanna Wright were in the 1850 Wayne Co. IN census, both were 71 & I can't find a trace of them after that. My ancestor is their son, James Gilbert Wright who moved to Jasper Co. IL in about 1840 & was a circuit-rider minister in that part of IL until his death shortly after 1860. I have several of the names of James' siblings in Hancock Co. IN and lots of info on James' children (he marr Lucinda McComas in 1830 Rush Co. IN) but that's all I know about this family, after many years of researching them. If you know anything at all on my Reuben & w/Anna, please let me know. I have pictures of my James & Lucinda (McComas) Wright. Thanks.
