Looking for a William (?) Wright that was born about 1725 +or- 10 years and died after 1800 that lived in Orange Co, NY most likely. He was a Tory and very bull headed about the Rev War, he had a daughter Abigail born in 1753 in Orange County that married Joseph Johnson, and he had at least two sons John and Samuel. He may have been a Capt serving from NY or CN. His son's were officers also. He disinherited Abigail because she married married a young Rev. Soldier. He never forgave her. He is suppose to have married a Wolcott, a descendant of Roger Wolcott. I can not confirm anything on this family, other than Abigail and her family that came to (W)VA in 1800. Her son was Gov of VA and the family is buried at the Bridgeport Cemetery, Bridgeport, WV. Any help would be so appreciated. I have looking for this Wright for 35 years. Nana Jo Winter
