Allen's, A History of Kentucky, Embracing Gleanings, Reminiscences, Antiquities, Statistics, and Biographical Sketches of Pioneers, Soldiers, Jurists, Lawyers, Statesmen, Divines, Mechanics, Farmers, Merchants, and other leading men of all occupations and pursuits. Louisville, KY. Bradley & Gilbert, Publishers, 1872 which Janet Grummitt has. P. 377 names listed as among the first emigrants to Green County ..."were generally farmers, men of intelligence, good property, and high standing in the old States from which they came; especially so the settlers from Virginia, who, in point of numbers, exceeded all the rest put together. ....Other states mentioned are North and South Carolina, Pennsylvania and Maryland. A William Elmore is listed too on p.377 A Wm. Wright is also mentioned in Allen's A History of Kentucky, 1872 on p. 401....I subjoin, more for curiosity than any other purpose, a list of uncommon names which appear on the record books of the Green County Court during the first eight years after the organization of the county. But very few of the persons who bore them remembered by any one living at this day. The names are as follows, to wit:....Wm. Wright...many other names listed. I am still trying to make a connection from Thomas Lewis, Edward's father, to the Am. Revolution or to the Battle of Point Pleasant which is accepted by the DAR. J.G.
