Would this be the Kilverstone Hall, Co. Norfolk, England Thomas Wright we are talking about? The reason I ask is that I have an interest in Oyster Bay, Long Island Wrights who are supposed to be descended from this Norfolk Thomas Wright, and in assisting in the development of a Y-DNA profile for this descendant line of Wrights. If you do believe you descend from the Kilverstone Wrights and some of the living male descendants of your paternal grandfather were to be willing to be tested for their Y-DNA profile, we might be able to figure out something important for this well recognized line. Even if you are not descended from this Norfolk Thomas Wright, having a DNA profile for a line traced back that far would add value to our Wright-DNA research project. Mike another butinski. Do you know are the oyster Bay and the North Carolina WRIGHTs connected? Both Hezekiah and Gideon are called torys for the revolutionary war. The story is, Wrights and Bacon also had a personal feud. I know two line attached to my LEEs were early settlers of Oyster bay. Ebenezer Titus married a Dorothea"dolly" Lee and Hezekiah son of Gideon Married Delilah"dilly" Lee both are daughter of Richard LEE 175?-1819. Thanks Bud.

Hi Bud, So far as I know the Richard Wright Sr. of Rowan Co. NC are not connected to the Oyster Bay Wrights. There has been speculation that maybe in generation 3 or 4 one of them went to Virginia and then south, but no one has been able to show it. Most of them seemed to go to PA, NJ, NY and points straight west.
