She said this is the best thing to do. My purpose of having a public site on ancestry is to share with legitimate people who honestly believe they may be right. I realized there could be a risk, but had no idea it would amount to this. After years of researching, I've shared with hundreds of people and had as many people share information with me that I would never have been able to fine - Bible records, deeds, death/birth info, etc. I would hate to make my site private because of anyone stealing and cheating.
