He went to Cali in 1850, then went back for the family. He was a blacksmith by trade. He had at least 6 children. One of which was Francis M Wright, my ancestor, born 1842. He help settled Methow Valley, Washington around 1887. He was known as Cap Wright. In 1923, during an interview Francis remembers hearing a brother was a steamboat captain 10 years earlier on the Sacramento River. I've found a couple of 'Wright' captains, but no proof they are the children of Samuel Wright. Any information would be helpful for Samuel & his other children.
