Ida was also a known relative of Minnie Leota Stephens who married B.B. Wright. Recent information has enabled me to locate Ida Rebecca (Lynch) Wright's transcribed death cert that gives her father as Duke Lynch. As it turns out, Duke Winsor Lynch (1839-1923) was the son of William Lynch (1809-1890) and first wife, Elizabeth Stallings (1811-1860). Duke Winsor married Mary Frances Lyles (1840-1907). A daughter was Ida Rebecca Lynch (1877-1970) who married Thomas Evans "Tom" Wright (1872-1945). Another daughter - a sister of Ida - was Susannah "Anna" Lynch who married Joe Stephens. A daughter of Anna and Joe was Minnie Leota Stephens who married Benjamin Buel Wright. After Elizabeth Stallings' death in 1860, William Lynch married again. His second wife was Emaline Brizendene (1836-1909). A daughter born to this marriage was Martha Matilda "Tilde" Lynch (1871-1952). Tilde married Pleasant Edward Wright (1867-1938). Pleasant Edward Wright and Thomas Evans Wright were brothers - sons of John W. Wright (1804 Eng - 1891 Clay County, AL) and Frances Emaline Parker Wright (1835 GA -1936 AL). Although living in the same area, these Wrights are not known by me to be relatives (at least close) of the family of B.B. Wright. There were some later marriage connections between the families. All this would make Ida Rebecca Lynch Wright and Susannah "Anna" Lynch Stephens sisters. Ida and Anna would have been nieces of Martha Matilda "Tilde" Lynch Wright who was their father's half-sister. Aunt Tilde and niece Ida married brothers (Ed and Tom Wright), also making them sisters-in-law. Duke Winsor Lynch and several married children, including Ida and Tom Wright and Anna and Joe Stephens, migrated from Alabama to Texas between 1900-1910. Ed and Tilde Wright - as did a number of Ed's and Tom's siblings - remained in Alabama. Thanks for your leads in your early post. It has been interesting to finally piece this together. Please let me know if you discover any corrections that should be made. Elhura "Ellie" Smith Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
